Who we are
Sowlark sets up automated enquiry follow-up systems for small businesses in the UK and US. For the purposes of UK GDPR, the data controller is:

What we collect
Information you give us. If you use the demo form (hosted on our n8n instance at n8n.mintro.ist), we collect the name, email address and enquiry details you choose to enter. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message.
Server logs. This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server access logs (such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request).
What we do not use. This page sets no cookies, runs no JavaScript and uses no analytics or tracking tools.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- Replying to your enquiry or demo submission: to take steps you have asked for before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR), or our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us (Article 6(1)(f)).
- Running and securing the website (server logs): our legitimate interest in keeping the site available and protected from abuse (Article 6(1)(f)).
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Business outreach
We sometimes send a small number of individual emails to UK limited companies to offer our enquiry follow-up service. This section explains how that works.
We may email a company's generic business address published on its own website (source: that website) to offer our service, on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f)). We hold only the company name, that address and the page we used. Reply 'no thanks' or email us and we'll stop; we keep the address on a suppression list only so we never contact it again. Outreach data is deleted 6 months after our last email.
- Where we got your address: it is a generic business address, the business email address published on your company's own website (for example info@ or enquiries@); our source is that website. We do not buy, rent or bulk-scrape email lists.
- What we hold: your company name, that business email address, and the web page we used to personalise our email. We do not hold named individuals' details, phone numbers or special category data.
- Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in direct marketing of a relevant business-to-business service (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR), sent in line with the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). Our legitimate interests assessment is available on request.
- Your right to object: you can object to direct marketing at any time and we will always stop (Article 21(2)–(3) UK GDPR). Just reply “unsubscribe” (or “no thanks”), or email markrichardbland@gmail.com. We treat any reply asking us to stop as an opt-out.
- Suppression list: once you opt out, we keep only your email address on a suppression list, used only so that we never contact it again. We keep this list for as long as we carry out outreach.
- How long we keep it: if you do not reply, we delete your outreach data 6 months after our last email. We send at most one follow-up.
- Who is responsible: the controller is MINTRO TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD. (trading as Sowlark), company number 16452853, registered office: First Floor Office, 3 Hornton Place, London, W8 4LZ, United Kingdom. Contact: markrichardbland@gmail.com.
Who processes it for us
We use service providers to run this service: Cloudflare (website hosting), our n8n instance (the demo form) and Google (our email). They handle data only to provide their services. Some of our service providers (Cloudflare and Google) may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on the safeguards those providers offer under UK data protection law, such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK-US Data Bridge where applicable.
How long we keep it
Outreach data (see above) is kept for 6 months after our last email; opt-out addresses stay on our suppression list. Enquiries and demo submissions are kept for a maximum of 12 months, and you can ask us to delete them at any time. Server logs are kept under Cloudflare's standard log retention.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data deleted;
- restrict or object to our processing, including processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive your data in a portable format, where this applies.
To use any of these rights, email markrichardbland@gmail.com. We will reply within one month.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
